MARI also had a black cat named MEWO as well.

The group would often spend time together, with a romantic relationship forming between her and HERO. She was friends with HERO and later became friends with KEL, AUBREY, and BASIL. She used to play softball before suffering from a permanent knee injury. The two grew up in FARAWAY next to KEL's family. Three years later, her parents had her little brother, SUNNY. MARI was born on March 1st to an unnamed mother and father around 19 years before the main game. Despite knowing that her brother accidentally killed her in the past, MARI wishes for SUNNY to move on and live out his life without any regrets. She also tries to help SUNNY forgive himself and reminds him to remember what's important. It is also shown that she was a perfectionist, spending hours at a time practicing the same piano piece over and over again.Д®ven after her death, her spirit form is shown to be forgiving towards SUNNY despite what he did to her. Later in the game, it is also revealed she would pull pranks on HERO especially, such as putting bugs in his school desk. These traits are shared with her HEADSPACE counterpart. Her first appearance shows she has a mischievous side, poking fun at KEL and AUBREY's mannerisms and afterwards teasing HERO. She's often spoken of as being kind and gentle, and plays a sisterly role in the friend group with SUNNY, HERO, KEL, AUBREY, and BASIL. Similarly to OMORI, she is completely black and white, and her eyes are black with white pupils. Her appearance also influenced her HEADSPACE counterpart's appearance.ДЄs a spirit, MARI looks slightly older than her HEADSPACE counterpart. In the REAL WORLD, MARI had black hair, black eyes, and wore a purple jacket or sweater over a white dress. She wears what looks like a variation of a Japanese seifuku. In HEADSPACE, she has dark hair and eyes which are stylized as purple. I also chose to not include the 3 main characters Hero, Kel and Audrey since I just want to focus on the enemies/bosses within headspace.MARI is a teenage girl with long, straight hair and bangs. If I were to re-create this piece, I would draw every single character within Headspace. I decided to stick to only using iconic boss characters and a few monsters in this illustration that you can encounter in any of the routes within the game.

I then decided to re-draw the characters on SAI instead of Ilustrator since it would be too time consuming. It was initially going to be every character has a texture but I then decided it would make the illustration have too much going on and cluttered. I also kept changing my mind how I was going to execute this idea. The reason this piece took so long was I drew each character within Omori individually instead of planning out the drawing in advance by determining what character goes where. This piece was a doozy! After months of working on and off with this drawing, I finally finished this mixed media piece of Omori fromвЂ¦Omori! The inspiration behind this piece is from one of my all time favorite movies: Paprika! Both Omori and Paprika have dream-like themes with some psychological horror elements sprinkled in and I thought it be a neat idea to mesh the two ideas together! The illustration style is inspired by promo art of the Paprika movie with my own little spin.
